David Brown is a Georgia native and curently resides in the country near Summerville in the northwest corner of the state. Mr. Brown has been involved in historical trekking since about 1993. He presently portrays Cornelius Doghearty, a character based on the historical Cherokee trader named Cornelius Dougharty who lived in the Overhill town of Hiwassee in Tennessee for much of the 18th Century. David is a 1976 graduate cum laude of the University of Georgia's Henry W. Grady School of Journalism and a former staff writer for the Cartersville and Rome, Georgia newspapers. He builds and sells flintlock firearms and is proprietor of Two Crows Trade Goodes.
