Barbara comes to this magazine with a music background which began at age five in piano, then spread to a teaching degree in music from the University of Missouri and branched to a love of the hammered and mountain dulcimer, guitar and the harp. She and her husband Denny have been historically reenacting for the last sixteen years and have performed period music at many events. Her love of research was spurred on by a Fellowship to study 18th century broadsides at the American Antiquarian Society in Worchester, MA.
