AD Rates - Prices are "per issue" with the 6X (six issues) rate being the greatest value. To receive the price breaks, which begin with the 3X (3 issues) rate, you are committing to run your ad in the required number of issues. Example: To receive the 6X rate you will be committing to run the same size ad, or larger, in 6 consecutive issues.

Classified Ads cost .30 cents per word (excluding zip code) with a $5.00 minimum charge.

Since 1994 On The Trail magazine has been the leading "Journal For Living History and Experimental Archaeology". Our readership covers forty-eight of the United States, Canada, England, Austria, and Australia. These folks are serious living historians and historical trekkers, dedicated to the preservation of the 1600 to 1840 American frontier life and times through involvement in living history experimental archaeology. They believe in purchasing quality, authentic gear when adding to or updating their outfit. It has been estimated that approximately 30% of the leading muzzleloading firearm related magazine’s readership is involved in living history. However, On The Trail is different from the other publications as our entire readership is involved in true pre-1840 living history and the fastest growing facet of that hobby, "historical trekking"! Also, our readers are dedicated to the support of On The Trail and the companies who advertise in its pages.

On The Trail is the only magazine that pertains entirely to pre-1840 living history, reenacting and historical trekking and it is now well recognized throughout the "living history" arena. Because our subscribers share this magazine with friends, and its availability at major Rendezvous, Historical Trade Fairs, and various shops, On The Trail is read by untold numbers of people. We believe that an advertisement in the pages of On The Trail is a wise investment for any company offering items of interest to participants of "living history, reenacting and historical trekking".

In comparison to other living history related publications, you will find our advertising rates to be most reasonable. For 1X and 2X ads we require full payment with ad submission. For 3X or 6X ads we require payment for the first ad and we will send you an invoice for the following ad placements.

All advertisements are subject to Publisher's approval. If an error is made by the Publisher, the advertisement will be corrected and published again in the next issue at no charge but no refunds will be paid. Advertisements will be accepted upon the representation that the advertiser has the right to publish the contents thereof. In consideration of such publication, the advertiser agrees to indemnify and hold the Publisher harmless against any expense or loss including attorney's fees by reason of any claims arising out of publication.
